CYA Field Hockey is participating on the Northern Virginia Field Hockey Alliance League again this spring. League games will be Saturday evening and will start after Spring Break.  Practices will be on Sunday evenings and will start before Spring Break.  The league is open to all players in grades 3 -8, both new and returing players are welcome.  We are always looking for volunteers to help coach so please sign up!

CYA Field Hockey will also be hosting a 3 week learn to play clinic in May for players in grades 1 -3 who are new to the sport.  Registration for the learn to play clinic will open in March.  Stay tuned for more information!

Curious about buying a field hockey stick? New to the sport and not sure what to look for in a field hockey stick?  Look no further!  The most important thing to keep in mind for our beginners is stick length.  Sticks should be no taller than the player's hip bone.

Camp Description:

Welcome to the 2024 Oakton High School field hockey camp! We are excited to welcome you to another great year of summer camp at OHS!

Week 1 (7th-12th grade): Our advanced level camp is geared towards field hockey players who have a number of years of experience, as we will focus on more intermediate/advanced skills. We try to split the camp into groups based on age/experience so you end up playing with others in your grade level and/or skills level, so you can gear up to be prepared for your fall season.

Week 2 (3rd-7th grade): This year we are excited to welcome back our camp for our younger age groups! This camp is designed for field hockey players entering 3rd-7th grade. All skill levels are welcome. We will try our best to break up in groups based on age and/or experience playing field hockey! Each group will be led by at least one of our Oakton Field Hockey varsity players, and instruction will be led by the Oakton Field Hockey coaching staff!

Chargers Girl's Field Hockey Camp 2024

Camp Objective:
The Chantilly Sports Camp is an opportunity for players to gain knowledge and experience in the sport of Field Hockey. We want the campers to enjoy themselves, make new friends, and work on developing fundamental skills while learning the sport of field hockey. Everyone is welcome.

Dates: July 15 - 18
Time: 5pm - 8pm
Beginners ages: 5-17
Cost $175

What to Bring Daily to Camp: Shin guards, mouth guard, cleats/turf/running shoes, water bottle (We do have a few loaner field hockey and sticks available if needed, please email: kaplaugher@fcps.edu) Camp Provisions: T-shirt, Ball, Contests/Prizes throughout the week.
