John Lesch volunteered for over 20 years in the CYA LL family.  His passion was baseball - through and through. He started as a coach to his kids and continued to coach both Little League and Babe Ruth long after his kids were out of the leagues. He joined the CYA Little League Board of Directors where he served for many years in a variety of roles, most notably Quartermaster or Equipment Manager. (He also coached CYA basketball!)
 

John believed in giving kids a chance, regardless of their abilities, on the baseball field. He believed that the lessons you learned on the field were lessons for life: be a team player, do your best, honor your commitments, practice, see the game through, dress for success, and the list goes on.
 

Sadly, John passed away in May 2019 after a battle with cancer. The Baseball for a Better Life Fund has been established in his memory to provide additional opportunities to enhance the Little League experience for CYA's youth.
