Frequently Asked Questions
When are tryouts?
Tryouts are scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at Rachel Carson MS. 10U is 12:00-2:00 pm and 12U is 4:00-6:00pm. Tryouts are scheduled around the pitching clinic.
What if we cannot make the scheduled tryouts?
Players may attend tryouts for the other age group. If neither tryout time works, indicate this in your registration, and we will contact you regarding an alternative session.
What is the season schedule?
10U will practice at Franklin Farm Park on Sundays from 3:30-5:30 pm (to allow time for travel from pitching clinic).
12U will practice at Rachel Carson MS on Sundays from 4:00-6:00 pm.
There will be three doubleheaders scheduled from April-June. Schedule is still TBD.
How many players will be on the team?
The roster will be limited to a maximum of 12 players. Guest players may be used to fill in for absences during games.
Will we only play against teams in the same age group?
Yes, doubleheaders are played against other House+/All Star level teams in the same age group. Teams are formed using the same USA Softball/USSSA rules for age groups.
Who are the coaches?
John Muro has agreed to coach the 10U team. Brittany Martinez is coaching the 12U team and looking for help. Let her know if you can assist.
Where will games take place?
Currently finding out and will post as soon as I hear.

Will we have more senior umpires?
Yes, games are umpired by professional umpires paid for with the doubleheader fee.
What does the $90 fee cover?
Doubleheaders are $135 which covers admin fees, field, and umpire. Uniforms can be up to $40. Any additional overage will be used for supplies and other costs at the coach's discretion.
What if not enough girls are interested?
As this is a new program, your interest is crucial to its success. To ensure a competitive team, we require a minimum of two pitchers and two catchers. If we don't reach full team capacity, we can focus on skill-building practices or revisit team formation in the next season.
